Program description: When you call a local service business that uses OneRingAway and book an appointment with its automated phone assistant, you receive text messages about that appointment: a confirmation of the details to check and reply YES to, and a short reply to your answer. Messages are transactional — they concern only the appointment you made on the call. We do not send marketing or promotional messages.

How you opt in: by calling the business, booking an appointment with the assistant, and saying yes when the assistant asks, before the booking is made, "Is it okay if I text the details to this number?" A text goes only to the number you are calling from, and only if you say yes; if you say no, the appointment is still booked and no text is sent. The full script is on the consent page.

Message frequency: varies; typically 1 to 4 messages per appointment.
